Market Bombing in New Baghdad, 4 Civilians Dead and 26 Wounded

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, Baghdad Operations Command announced that, four civilians have been killed and 26 others were wounded in the two bombings that took place in New Baghdad area and at the Arab Market in the capital, Baghdad.

Spokesman of the BOC, Brigadier Gen. Saad Maan said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The terrorist suicide attack targeted civilians inside a popular restaurant in the New Baghdad district southeast of Baghdad, and resulted in killing three people and wounding 18.”

Maan added, “Another terrorist attack by an explosive device occurred inside a food booth at the Arab Market downtown Baghdad, leaving one civilian dead and eight others injured.”

A security source said earlier on Saturday that 13 people were killed and 41 others were wounded in an explosion in New Baghdad district in eastern Baghdad.

Moreover, the source confirmed that 9 people were killed and 32 were wounded in two consecutive bombings with explosive devices and an explosive belt at the Arab Market in central Baghdad.
